Teaching
Excited to teach!
Welcome to my teaching page! I have enjoyed my teaching experiences in CMU and Berkeley and am excited to teach more in the future! Apart from the actual teaching aspect, I am also very interested in improving myself as a teacher and improving the internal (teaching assistant facing) structures of courses.
CMU Classes:
- 16-782 Planning and Decision-making in Robotics: General TA
- I additionally initiated and ran a weekly reading group teaching students about cutting edge research and real life applications related to motion planning algorithms.
Berkeley Classes:
- Berkeley, CS170 Algorithms, Spring 2020: Teaching Pedagogy TA
- Special role where I focused on improving all things teaching staff and student related. A few ideas were successful and have been sustained afterwards while others did not produce the benefits we envisioned.
- TA related: Improve pedagogy skills via group prepping, shared internal notes, peer shadowing, and various other ideas.
- Reader related: Increased shadowing, attempted pedagogy specific workshops, created mechanisms for Readers to be more involved in specific roles (e.g. content feedback, project).
- Student related: 170’s first interview-practice coding workshop, TA and professor Q&A sessions.
- Berkeley, CS170 Algorithms, Fall 2019: General TA
- Berkeley, CS188 Artificial Intelligence, Spring 2019: General TA
- Berkeley, EE16A Information Devices & Systems I, Fall 2018: Discussion TA
Berkeley Computer Science Mentors (CSM):
- EE16A Information Devices & Systems I, Fall 2019: Senior Mentor
- Led a group of student mentors in building teaching skills
- EE16A Information Devices & Systems I, Spring 2018: Junior Mentor
- CS61B Data Structures, Spring 2018: Junior Mentor
